If you feel numb, don’t immediately ask, “What’s wrong with me?” Ask, “What has been missing from my life?
If you’ve been feeling disconnected lately, you might be judging yourself for it. “I have a good life.” “I should be happier.” “Other people have it worse.” “So why do I feel like this?” But feeling flat doesn’t automatically mean something is wrong with you. Sometimes it means your life has become very good at meeting your responsibilities and very bad at meeting you. So instead of trying to fix the feeling, investigate it. Take ten minutes and look at your last two weeks. Ask yourself five questions: 1. When did I feel most engaged? What was I doing? Who was I with? 2. When did I feel most drained? What was happening immediately before it? 3. What have I stopped doing that used to matter to me? 4. What do I keep saying I want, but never make time for? And perhaps the most important one: 5. If nobody needed anything from me for one entire day, how would I actually spend it? Don’t look for the perfect answer. Look for patterns. Maybe you realize you haven’t had a meaningful conversation in months. Maybe you’ve stopped creating. Maybe your body never gets a chance to move. Maybe you’re constantly around people but rarely feel truly connected. Or maybe you’ve become so focused on being useful that you’ve lost touch with what you actually enjoy. That’s useful information. Now choose one missing thing and put it into your calendar this week. Not as another task to complete. As something you are deliberately making room for. Because you don’t always solve disconnection by trying harder. Sometimes you start by asking a better question: “What part of my life have I been neglecting for so long that I’ve started to feel it?”

The thing making you angry might only be the final straw.
If small things are making you unusually angry, the problem might not be the small things. The traffic. The emails. The noise. The questions. The person who “just needs one more thing.” Sometimes irritation isn’t a personality problem. It’s a signal. When your internal resources are depleted, even ordinary things can feel overwhelming. And underneath the anger, there may be something else: “I’m exhausted.” “I need space.” “I need support.” “I’ve been saying yes for too long.” “I’ve been ignoring myself.” So before reacting, pause and ask: “What am I actually needing right now?” Rest? Support? Space? A boundary? Because when you understand the need underneath the emotion, you can respond differently. Your anger may not be asking you to fight. It may be asking you to listen. Save this for the next time everything suddenly feels like too much.

You don’t need to start over. You need to remember.
Most people think transformation starts with a dramatic decision. A new job. A new city. A completely different life. But real transformation often begins with something much simpler: ✨ Reconnecting with the version of yourself that existed before the world told you who you should become. Before expectations. Before obligations. Before constantly putting everyone else first. Think back to when you were between 10 and 18 years old. What made you lose track of time? What made you curious? What gave you energy without needing external validation? That younger version of you wasn’t perfect. But they often understood something your adult self has forgotten. Your purpose isn’t something you have to invent. It’s often something you need to remember. The life you want may not require a complete reinvention. It may simply require reconnecting with yourself. 💬 What did you naturally love doing as a teenager? Let me know in the comments.

When was the last time you scheduled time for yourself?
Your calendar tells a story. Meetings. Deadlines. Appointments. Family responsibilities. Errands. But here’s a question most of us never ask: Where are you on that calendar? Many successful professionals don’t lose themselves overnight. They slowly disappear beneath a life that is full of responsibilities, obligations, and practical decisions. Every day becomes about what has to be done. Who needs you. What comes next. Until one day, you realize you’ve become incredibly efficient at managing your life… …but you’ve stopped truly living it. Purpose doesn’t usually arrive while you’re checking off another task. It often appears in the quiet moments when you finally create space to hear yourself again. This week, make one appointment that isn’t for work. Isn’t for productivity. Isn’t for anyone else. Take a walk. Read. Create something. Sit with a coffee and your thoughts. Have a meaningful conversation. Protect that appointment as carefully as you would an important business meeting. Because the relationship you have with yourself deserves a place in your calendar too. 💬 I’d love to hear from you: What would your appointment with yourself look like this week?
