The biggest behavior shift
Didn’t have to do with my child, it had to do with my beliefs about behavior. This is a hard one for us adults because we are WIRED that kids should behave, it’s disrespectful if they don’t, they need to learn and have a consequence, if I give in I’m reinforcing the behavior. We have our triggers and that’s ok, yesterday I had mine…. When you don’t lean into YOUR triggers and solely focus on the child, you’re missing a HUGE piece. One step to do this week… listen to your inner voice. When your child engages in a behavior, stop and listen… what is your inner voice telling you? Let me know if the comments.
