I learned French in high school but haven't used it for many years. My grandkids are learning to speak French in school. I love speaking with my grandson but he has far surpassed my abilities long ago as He is in an French immersion program. I am also an educational coach. As a coach, I go into daycares to support educators. Some of the children they work with are brand new to Canada and don’t yet speak English. Many of them speak French. If I can greet them, reassure them, or offer a few comforting words in their own language, it can make those first days feel less overwhelming. I want to help them feel safe, seen, and supported as they begin their life here.

Hello, my name is Matt and I am learning Polish. My wife is Polish and it would be great to be able to have proper conversations with her side of the family. Poland has great food, one of my favourites is a soup called Zurek that it traditionally eaten at Eastertime so not long to wait for that. It is best described as a Full English Breakfast in soup form! I am a musician so sort of used to learning in a language based way but I haven't fully managed to crack the Polish. . . yet!

Hey everyone, I'm Bilkis from India and I've been learning Japanese for a year now, I started watching anime last year after a friend of mine recommended it and absolutely fell in love with it. So if you ask me why am I learning a language that have 3 different writing systems, kanjis are as double as hard as Chinese hanzi and I won't even use it in my professional life? Well I'd say watching anime and Ghibli movies without subtitles would be sooo worth it. P.s: I wanna visit Japan in the future too soo there goes my communication skills.
