Why Repetition Fails for Most Learners..
Repeating words is not the problem
Repeating them without context is.
Your brain doesn’t store words as isolated units it stores scenes, emotions, situations, and patterns.
If you want repetition to work:
- Repeat inside a sentence
- Repeat with an image in your head
- Repeat while imagining when you’d actually use it
Same repetition. Completely different result.
I personally repeat sentences and that has been the best strategy for me when acquiring a new language.
