A Listening Heart
Ein hörendes Herz
AM pauSING TO BE
ME
ICH BIN ... innehalten, um ICH ZU SEIN
---
pauSing, simply to Be.
To listen, and to pray—
this is enough.
innehalten, um einfach zu SEIN.
Zu lauschen und zu beten –
das ist genug.
---
To be still, and simply feel…
with Holy Spirit,
in the quiet company of Jesus.
Just this.
Still sein und einfach spüren…
mit dem Heiligen Geist,
in der stillen Gegenwart von Jesus.
Nur dies.
---
Listening.
Acknowledging what is.
Accepting the joy and the ache,
the highs and the lows—
within me, and all around me.
Lauschen.
Wahrnehmen, was ist.
Die Freude und den Schmerz annehmen,
die Höhen und die Tiefen –
in mir und um mich herum.
---
No need to explain, to untangle, to speak it out.
Just stop.
Just Be.
Yes.
Nichts erklären, nichts entwirren, nichts aussprechen müssen.
Einfach innehalten.
Einfach SEIN.
Ja.
---
Be aware.
Rest here, for a breath, for a moment—
not to fix,
but to trust.
And listen… some more.
Gewahr sein.
Hier verweilen, für einen Atemzug, für einen Augenblick –
nicht um zu reparieren,
sondern um zu vertrauen.
Und weiter lauschen.
---
And then,
to rise and do the next right thing.
To care—
for myself, for others.
Und dann,
aufstehen und das Nächste, Richtige tun.
Sorgen –
für mich und für andere.
---
For me,
it all begins and ends here:
a listening heart,
opened through prayer.
Für mich
beginnt und endet alles hier:
ein hörendes Herz,
geöffnet durch Gebet.
---
I AM RE-MEMBER~Ing, BREATHING & SINGING:
I AM BELOVED ... never alone & more than enough
SIMPLY & JUST AS I AM.
ICH BIN ER-INNER~ung, ATMEND & SINGEND:
ICH BIN GELIEBT ... niemals allein & mehr als genug ~
EINFACH & GENAU SO WIE ICH BIN.
~~ KINDLY ANSWER THE POLL ( and a LITTLE GERMAN PRACTICE FOR US .. )
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO PRACTICE YOUR LANGUAGE .. for me it is lots of POETRY & FUN STUFF that I already do ... just find ways to IMMERSE MYSELF & translate along the way TOO !!
A ~ I like to write poetry.
German Ich schreibe gerne Gedichte.
I learned today to be careful of the WORD : DICHTE
You have to be careful with this one because of the noun "die Dichte" (density).
  • If you just say "Dichte" by itself, a German speaker will likely think you are talking about density (e.g., "Die Dichte von Wasser" – The density of water).
  • To use it as the verb, it needs a subject. "Ich dichte" (I write poetry) is the correct way.
B ~ I like to read poetry.
German: Ich lese gerne Gedichte.
C ~ Both A & B
D ~ Poetry ~ not for me ~~
German: Gedichte ( Lyrik ) ~ nichts für mich ~~
E ~ Enough of this ~let's JUST GO DANCING NOW !
German: Genug davon, lass uns JETZT EINFACH TANZEN GEHEN!
and YOU or anybody ❣️
