Who has actually gotten paid from AI Consulting

I'm currently an AI consultant, but I've been considering going back to building AI, as that's what I learned over the summer. I've talked with family and other entrepreneurs about what they think about it, and we've all agreed that building an AI and selling it makes more sense than selling other people's products. Before I make the full switch, I just want to hear feedback from you guys.

Have any of you actually made money from AI Audits, or did you make your own? It seems like every successful AI consultant I've researched either has their own AI or sells a course to people. I don't see many people at all, actually making money by strictly doing AI audits.
