Staying Focused and Ignoring AI News; Claude Code Question

I am in agreement with Liams recent YT vid about ignoring AI news. I wanted to get some feedback on a couple of ways I've tried to stick to this line of advise. I've done the following:

Concentrated all AI updates and learning to only the last week of April, August, December.
Used a Functionality Framework that I update every 4 months as opposed to chasing every AI brand that claims supremacy on YouTube.

My questions is though. Given that I'm doing the above, and that the community seems to have gone full-in with Claude Code -- what if another AI app comes along that's more powerful than Claude Code what should you do to stay focused?

Certainly asking all this as a rookie/newbie and looking forward to feedback from the veterans and gurus.
