The Five-Minute Reset
Time for another five-minute reset. Same five-minute habit: open your books, look at your bank balance, glance at what's outstanding. No analysis, just awareness. The habit only works if it's boring and repeatable: that's the point. Comment "done" once you've looked.

Quick Win: The Two-Minute Reconciliation Check
Quick win before the weekend: open your bank feed and your books side by side. Scan for anything unmatched or duplicated in the last two weeks. Two minutes, no deep dive required. Small mismatches caught early are usually easier to investigate. Left for months, they can turn into an afternoon of detective work. Comment "clean" if nothing turned up, or "found one" if it did: both are useful data for this group.

Myth: More Revenue Always Means More Profit
Myth: "If I just make more sales, my profit problem solves itself." Reframe: revenue and profit are cousins, not twins. It's completely possible to grow revenue and watch profit shrink at the same time, if costs are growing faster underneath it. The answer isn't automatically more sales. First, check whether growth is actually translating into more money staying in the business. Have you ever had a "best sales month ever" that didn't feel like it in your bank account? Tell us about it.
