Welcome to Spiritually Minded
Hi, welcome to my community, created for the express purpose of sharing my experience of The Law of Assumption and Spiritual Awakening, both a consequence of my work on The First Principle. The First Principle is that all of creation is a projection of Divine Mind. This means that reality is both comprised entirely of Spirit and entirely malleable by use of Imagination. This in a nutshell is why The Law of Assumption works and what Spiritual Awakening is. The Law of Assumption is the practical application, in our physical world, of The First Principle. Spiritual Awakening is that moment when you fully come to terms with the fact that All is Spirit. This might all be very new to you and sound a little confusing, but I'm here to guide you. "Guide me to where?" you might ask. The answer is simple. Back to you. To who you really are.

The Law of Assumption and Taking Action
One of the most misinformed modern takes I hear about Neville Goddard is that you don't have to do anything to get your manifestation. Let me tell you that this is 100% incorrect. There are two places this rumour comes from: 1. Fake coaches trying to manipulate people into thinking they can get easy cash from performing a Neville-sounding technique. 2. The Power of Awareness taken out of context. In The Power of Awareness (always the second place of Neville's I point newbies to) Neville states: "The question is often asked, "What should be done between the assumption of the wish fulfilled and its realization?" "Nothing."" People inexperienced in The Law jump down my throat like rabid dogs when I say that it's not enough to do nothing and they quote this at me. The next line in the book is: "It is a delusion that, other than assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled, you can do anything to aid the realization of your desire. You think that you can do something, you want to do something; but actually, you can do nothing." What Neville is saying is that once you assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled, it is done. You can't double do it. You can't make it happen because it's already happened. You make your bed in the morning. There is nothing you can do to double make it, it is already made. Regardless of the fact that he's spent 20 chapters before this quote telling you of the other things you must do to create change in conformity with your desire. People want to do nothing. That's just not enough. Assumption is action. Call it The Law of Action. It's not called The Law of Ass-Sitting.

Law of Assumption: What Assumption Really Means and Why People Are Getting It Wrong
Neville Goddard termed the practical use of Divine Imagination, The Law of Assumption. Divine Imagination is, in very basic terms, the True Reality, of which this mortal world is but a shadow. Whatsoever is created in Imagination, will manifest in this world. Neville spent decades trying to explain this to people who had no conception of it, and did a jolly good job. What he didn't do is foresee 21st Century Man. He could not have known how people would distort and bastardise his explanations. For they were explanations. He didn't create The Law of Assumption, he merely named it that. You might call it magic or miracles, but The Law of Assumption does something greater than bring you free goodies without doing all the work. Over time and iteration, it opens your awareness to Divine Imagination, the world of Life. Why did he call it, The Law of Assumption and why is that secretly confusing for people? Assumption has multiple meanings (Cambridge Dictionary): "a willingness to accept something as true without question or proof" We might call that Faith, the loyalty to your unseen (by mortal senses) reality and also "the act of taking control or claiming authority" The vast majority, know only the first definition and think that's what The Law of Assumption is all about. If you want a million dollars, you assume (believe without proof) you have it already and go about your business. All well and good. And then when nothing happens after an hour and a half, head to social media to complain that "I manifested being rich and I'm still poor". Using the first definition = correct, but using it without the second = incorrect. The Law of Assumption is the Law of Being. The Law of Becoming. Not only must you have unshakeable Faith, but you must dwell in the state of you that is rich. Asking "when" or "how" means you're fulfilling neither definition. I know many rich people. I come from a wealthy family. Not one rich person I know sits around drinking pina coladas and playing video games all day on a 90 inch TV with a butler bringing them bonbons. They ALL work a lot because they like being rich. They automatically fulfil both of the definitions of Assumption.
