Welcome to Common Entrance Latin – Clear, Confident, Exam-Ready. This community is designed primarily for parents and guardians of pupils aged 11–14 preparing for Common Entrance Latin. To maintain a safe, focused, and professional learning environment, please read and follow the guidelines below. 1. Who may hold and use an account - Accounts should normally be held by a parent or legal guardian - Pupils under the age of 13 must not post, comment, or message within this community. They can observe Q&A posts, but not participate. - Pupils aged 13 or over (the digital age of consent) may post or comment, provided that: This community remains parent-led, even where older pupils participate. By remaining in this community, you confirm that this account is held by a parent/guardian or by a pupil aged 13+ with parental consent. 2. Behaviour, tone, and expectations All members (parents and pupils aged 13+) must: - Communicate politely and respectfully - Keep discussion focused on learning and exam preparation - Avoid criticism of schools, teachers, or other pupils This is a calm, academic space rather than a social forum. 3. Safeguarding and privacy For safeguarding reasons, please do not post: - Full names of children - School names - Exam candidate numbers - Contact details or social media handles Any individual concerns or sensitive matters should be handled privately with a parent or guardian. 4. Posting structure and labelling To keep expectations clear, posts may be labelled as: - Parents only - Parents & pupils aged 13+ - Information only – no comments Please respect the intended audience of each post. Questions about Latin should be posted in the designated Q&A threads; administrative queries should be directed to the community host. - Chat Unlock is configured at the maximum setting (Level 9), which disables direct messaging. This precaution is in place to provide additional safeguarding for children below the digital age of consent who may be accessing the platform via a parent or guardian’s account.
