Welcome to Languages through Music Skool!
Hey LTM fam! Thanks so much for joining. I'm trying out this platform (700+ masterclass students in!) because Squarespace seems to be lacking on community vibe and the calendar function. I'd like people to be able connect via languages they are learning, sharing resources or favourite tunes with ease. I'm not a hi-tech person, I'm a language & teacher person 😅 so please humour me while we build this new and friendlier platform together. It's a constantly evolving process- from classrooms to festivals, to Udemy, to Squarespace- and now here! I might keep content on my website for now, and just offer this to people who want that extra community support- no one wants another Facebook or LinkedIn group in their lives, right? Tell us- your name, where you are in the world 🌍, which languages you speak. are learning 🗣, and your favourite music/artists to listen to 🎶! I'll go first: 👋🏽 Desta! 🇬🇧 London! 🌳I speak English, French, Portuguese, Spanish pretty well 🥣 My Thai, Turkish, Tigrinya is a bit flakey. 🧞‍♀️My dream is to get good in those three, plus Amharic, Swahili, Kirundi, Mandarin, Japanese! 🇧🇷I'm a huge fan of Brazilian music- Djavan, Gilberto Gil, Milton Nascimento, Tim Maia...

Growing up in Germany, Guillermo speaks Spanish, German, Italian, English, French, Mandarin, Swahili, and has started studying Farsi. From Cuban classics and French hip-hop to Swahili beats and Chinese rap, this conversation explores how music accelerates language learning, deepens cultural understanding, and builds confidence beyond the classroom ▶️▶️▶️
