Hvað heitir þú? = What’s your name?
Pronunciation (approximate):
kvath HAY-tir thoo
(ð sounds like a soft th, like in this)
To answer, you say:
Ég heiti ___
= My name is ___
Pronunciation:
yeg HAY-ti
Example:
Ég heiti Anna.
