Introduce yourself below by answering these four questions: 1️⃣ Where are you joining us from? 2️⃣ What industry or profession are you in? 3️⃣ What is one leadership or career goal you’re working toward this year? 4️⃣ What’s one fun fact about you that has nothing to do with work? Hi everyone! I’ll start by introducing myself. 💜 I’m Dr. Kenyatta Powers-Rucker, Executive Leadership Coach, former CIO, speaker, author, and founder of Ladies in Tech & Friends. 📍 Where am I joining from? I’m joining you from Maryland. 💻 What industry or profession am I in? Technology and leadership have been at the center of my career for nearly 30 years. After spending more than 18 years in executive leadership, including serving as a CIO, I now focus on executive leadership coaching, speaking, consulting, and helping women grow personally and professionally. 🎯 What is one leadership or career goal I’m working toward this year? One of my goals is to continue expanding the impact of Ladies in Tech & Friends and create more opportunities for women to connect, learn, grow, and lead. That includes building this community into a place where women can find resources, relationships, encouragement, and opportunities that help them move forward in their careers.

How Can This Community Support You Right Now?
The Ladies in Tech & Friends community includes women from different backgrounds and experiences across technology, leadership, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, and other male-dominated fields. We have knowledge, resources, experiences, and connections that could benefit one another. So, what would be most helpful to you right now? A connection? Career advice? Leadership support? Technology knowledge? Business guidance? Speaking opportunities? Mentorship? Something else? Share what you need in the comments. Someone in this community may have the experience, insight, resource, or connection to help you move forward. And if you see a request you can help with, please respond or make a connection. Let’s be intentional about building a community where we do more than connect—we support one another and help each other grow.

💜 Leadership Thought: You Don’t Have to Have the Title to Lead
One thing I learned throughout my career is that leadership doesn’t begin when someone gives you a title. Leadership shows up in how you communicate, how you solve problems, how you respond when things get difficult, how you support others, and whether people can depend on you. Sometimes we spend so much time preparing for the next position that we don’t recognize the opportunities we already have to demonstrate leadership right where we are. Something to think about: Where are you already leading—even if your title doesn’t say “leader”? And if you’re working toward your next opportunity, what is one leadership behavior you can demonstrate more intentionally this week? Share below.
