Hello Open Community 👁️, I want to share some thoughts on a topic that concerns many of us: the connection between cereals and attention deficit disorders like ADHD, ADD, and ASD in children. It's often assumed that these disorders are innate, but what if our daily habits play a larger role than we realize? Consider this: statistics show that 85% of families in the US and Canada consume cereals 1 to 3 times a day. When a child, born without any of these disorders, reaches the age of two and starts having cereal for breakfast every day, symptoms may begin to emerge by ages three or four. By the time they're five and attending school, they may struggle to function normally, leading to concerns from teachers and a possible diagnosis of ADHD or ASD. This often results in starting medication, like amphetamines, to help them cope at school. I'm not saying cereals are the sole cause, but it's worth investigating the impact of our dietary choices on our children's health. Let's stay informed and take care of ourselves and our families. All the love, Era Qalim 🪷
