It's been a crazy few weeks for us, with 3 litters arriving. - Kora gave us 5 stunning Daryl babies - 2 girls and 3 boys - Stellar gave us 3 fabulous Gryff babies - 2 boys and 1 girl - Marsha gave us 2 amazing Daryl babies - 4 boys and 1 girl Our DNA testing told us we could get pretty much any colour from these matings as both sires and dams carry all the colour genes, but we were blown away by the fact that Kora produced two rare blue fawns, Stellar had black and tan, a red Irish marked and a fawn particolour while Marsha produced a stunning black and white particolour, and the rarest of all, a lilac particlour! If we were unscrupulous puppy farmers who charged more for rare colours, we'd be totally in the money, LOL. Lilac's sell for over $10US in some countries. We don't breed for colour, though, and we match temperament to our puppies' owners, not their decor, so let's wait and see how these guys develop. We are currently in our OMG, THEY ARE FABULOUS WE ARE KEEPING ALL THEM! stage. This will pass and in a few weeks we will enter the THAT'S IT! WE'RE GOING TO PET HOME THEM ALL! This too will pass at around 8 weeks and we will have them assessed by an indpendent 3rd party Puppy Puzzle examiner, then sanity will prevail and we will decide on the keepers and those we can let go. It's pretty much a given the girsl will stay. This was the 2nd, and therefore the last litter for all these mums so we need to keep their daughters to replace them. Stellar and Marsha already have forever homes, and Kora's potential new family are flying down to meet her after Easter, We'll keep you posted as they grow!
