Hello! I’m Kinzie! I’m a stay at home mom and I wanted to build this community to come together and have a space for us to talk about our pets - have a space for moms just to be moms- introduce yourself below!

So about January 14th, I walked into the petstore to get my snake a mouse, when I happened to noticed this reptile… he was skin and bones (1st photo was the day I brought him home in a temp setup) I knew NOTHING about this reptile. I spent HOURS researching about Sandfish Skinks and the correct husbandry for them- here we are coming to our 3 month mark and all his decayed toes have fallen and healed so perfectly. He’s starting to let us see him more than what he used too- but these animals don’t like much handling. He tolerates it for 2 minutes while I get progress shots 😂❤️

What’s your opinions on live feeding vs frozen thawed feedings? I personally prefer live feedings with my boa- as it stimulates the natural predatory nature of these animals. I’ve done groups of pinkies so stimulate a nest raid and it’s so incredible to watch his natural behavior.
