Communion Sunday always moves me deeply. All over the world today across nations, cultures, languages, and denominations believers pause to remember the same sacrifice. In gatherings of every kind, we partake of the bread and the cup together.
When we take Communion, we are not just remembering an event we are proclaiming the finished work of Jesus, His broken body and His shed blood that secured our redemption. We are reminded that our salvation was costly, our forgiveness was intentional, and our covenant with God is unbreakable. If I was the only one, He still would’ve gave His life for me.
Communion humbles us. It calls us to examine our hearts, to forgive as we’ve been forgiven, and to return to the simplicity of the Gospel. It reminds us that we belong to one Body, united not by preference or personality, but by the blood of Christ. And in doing so, we proclaim that Jesus is still our Savior, still our hope, and still the center of it all.
