Quick Morning Devotion (from my Grandma)

Romans 14:17

“For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You that Your kingdom is not based on outward rituals or temporary things, but on the lasting gifts of righteousness, peace, and joy through the Holy Spirit. Thank You for making me righteous through faith in Jesus Christ. Fill my heart with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding, and let the joy of the Lord be my strength each day.

Help me to live as a faithful representative of Your kingdom, reflecting Your love, grace, and truth in all that I do. May my life bring glory to You and encourage others to seek Your kingdom above all else. Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, words, and actions so that I will walk in obedience and demonstrate the fruit of Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Declaration:

Today I declare that I am a citizen of the kingdom of God. I have been made righteous through Jesus Christ. I walk in the peace of God that guards my heart and mind, and I live with the joy of the Holy Spirit regardless of my circumstances. I choose to seek God’s kingdom first and to live according to His will. My life will reflect God’s righteousness, peace, and joy, and I will be a light to those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
