Quick morning devotional! (From grandma)
Matthew 5:20 “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” Prayer: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for calling me to a life of true righteousness. I confess that I cannot attain righteousness through my own works, but only through faith in Jesus Christ and the transforming power of Your Holy Spirit. Purify my heart, renew my mind, and help me to live with sincerity, humility, and obedience to Your Word. Remove every trace of hypocrisy from my life, and let my relationship with You be genuine and pleasing in Your sight. Teach me to seek first Your kingdom and to walk in holiness each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Declaration: In the name of Jesus, I declare that I have been made righteous through Christ, and I choose to live according to God’s Word. My life reflects the character of Jesus, not merely outward actions but inward transformation. I reject hypocrisy and embrace integrity, truth, and holiness. The Holy Spirit empowers me to walk in obedience, and my heart is fully devoted to God. I seek God’s kingdom above all else, and I will grow daily in righteousness, bringing glory to His name. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Quick Morning Devotional (from my grandma)
Matthew 4:17 “From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’” Prayer Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your Word and for the call to repentance through Jesus Christ. Search my heart and reveal anything that does not please You. I repent of my sins and turn away from every attitude, thought, and action that is contrary to Your will. Create in me a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Help me to live with the awareness that Your Kingdom is at hand. Let my life reflect Your righteousness, love, and truth. Teach me to walk in obedience, humility, and holiness each day. May I seek first Your Kingdom and faithfully share the good news of Jesus Christ with others. Strengthen me through the power of the Holy Spirit to remain faithful, steadfast, and committed to Your purpose. Let Your Kingdom be established in my heart, my home, my church, and my community. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen. Declaration I declare that I have repented and turned my heart toward God. I declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over my life. I declare that I will walk in obedience to God’s Word and His will. I declare that the Kingdom of God is at work in me, producing righteousness, peace, and joy through the Holy Spirit. I declare that I will boldly proclaim the Gospel and live as a faithful ambassador of Christ. I declare that my mind, heart, and actions are aligned with the purposes of God’s Kingdom. I declare that I will live each day prepared for the return of Christ, bringing glory and honor to His name. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Personal support system
A personal support system is a network of people and resources you rely on for emotional encouragement, practical assistance, and professional guidance. Building an intentional village—including family, peers, therapists, and community groups—improves resiliency, reduces stress, and protects against social isolation. A well-rounded support system provides a mix of distinct types of care: Emotional Support: A safe space to vent, feel validated, and receive empathy (e.g., a close friend or partner). Practical (Instrumental) Support: Tangible help with daily tasks like childcare, transportation, or running errands. Informational Support: Guidance, resources, and expert advice to help you make informed decisions. Professional Support: Access to mental health counselors, psychiatrists, or coaches who provide evidence-based care. How to Build Your Network Audit Your Current Circle: Identify who consistently shows up for you and where you feel depleted. True support should feel safe, not transactional. Diversify Your System: Aim to have a mix of friends, mentors, colleagues, and professionals. Engage Locally: Join local hobby clubs, volunteer organizations, or sports teams to build natural connections within your community. Seek Professional Help: If you need specialized guidance or are navigating a crisis, lean on trusted mental health professionals and support groups. Resources like Therapy Route provide deep dives into the psychology of support networks, while organizations like the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) offer structured peer support and educational resources to help you or a loved one thrive.
