Welcome I’m glad you’re here.
Below is an example of a simple but effective repair I recently completed for a close friend after a minor accident. It shows how a small DIY fix—done the right way—can save time, money, and stress. How to Repair a Broken Front Grill Emblem (2012 Volvo S60 T5) Quick, simple fix using basic supplies I created this group to teach people how to do the same kinds of repairs I do through JOTS Handyman Services. Below is an example of a simple but effective repair I recently did at home for a close friend. She was in a minor fender bender that cracked the front grill of her 2012 Volvo S60 T5. Luckily, the emblem itself was still intact — it had just broken free from the surrounding grill. Here’s how I fixed it using only super glue. Step-by-Step Repair 1) Line Up the Broken Pieces Look for clean breaks. In this case, the break was straight and easy to match up. Before you add any glue, test-fit the pieces to make sure they match together perfectly without gaps. 2) Apply Super Glue Any regular super glue works fine for plastic. Add 1–2 small drops to the broken edges — less is more. Make sure everything fits together exactly; you don’t want visible seam lines once it dries. 3) Set and Hold It Once the glue is applied, you have a little time to position the emblem, but don’t take too long — super glue sets fast. Fit the emblem back into its original spot and hold it firmly for at least 60 seconds. After that, let it sit untouched for a few minutes so the glue can fully bond. Important Notes - This works great for plastic-to-plastic repairs. - If the piece had been metal, super glue wouldn’t hold. You would need a welder or metal epoxy for a proper fix. - Always double-check alignment before adding glue to avoid seeing visible break lines.
