The backing track was long enough to explore several approaches, and because it contains some variations throughout, it was interesting to play both the theme and the solo in different ways. In this piece, as @Eva Slongo asked in her last lesson, I focused a lot on ghost notes and continuous bowing. Especially the small rhythmic details and articulation are not easy at all with ghost notes, which makes it a real challenge, both musically and technically. In my first Violin Technique Lesson on Monday the 8th of june, (to keep the lessons in relation to Eva's lessons) I’ll work technically on a few passages from this solo ( both easier and more advanced ones ) together with scales and some technical exercises inspired by the piece and also other technical excercise with possibility to open the mics and try out technical issues.
