Stella by Starlight

This almost ends my Stella project. A jam is still to come, although I have already published the two comping etudes.

In this video: Head in, etude 10.4, improv, head out.

A few comments about my Stella time and video:

I feel I improved technically due to the CM, which is less hard than the Blue Bossa one, but varied and still pretty tough (at least to me), especially the arpeggiated part.
The Shell comping study had also a positive impact on my playing.
Etude 10.4 at jam speed is pretty tough in comparison to the original tempo of the etude. I felt stretched to play the fast lines in time.
This tempo is too fast for what I want to play = I ruined the fast line in my chorus due to lack of skills.
I tried to introduce ghost-notes, slurs, pull-offs, hammer-ons... fun!
Now, rhythmically speaking, as I said, this tempo is too fast and on fast lines, I feel shaky, but I see that at slower tempo, I am more solid than I used to be.
Jazz phrasing? hmm... 🤔
I did not study much the improv workout. Too long (32 bars...) and I already spent a ridiculous time on this Stella pack of etudes. This means I still don't know what I am doing during the chorus, but now I am noodling around the melody (at least I am hearing its pulse at all times - because of iReal, in a real jam this would probably be very different).
This is annoying to be still so nervous when I press "record", but it is getting better.

for putting together this course. I cannot believe how he transformed my playing in about 10 months. I feel I improved more and faster during this almost year than during any stages of my long (and bad) guitar learning process. Clear goals. I know exactly what I have to work on. Progresses are great to see. Motivation is even higher than when I started the JGA. Thank you, Marc!
