Does anyone have any tips for first starting to learn Japanese? Should I start with learning Hirigana? Or simple phrases?

Saying Goodbye
Sayounara is polite but too formal for friends. Use it with people you just met. Then with your friends, use these other phrases! Feel free to ask any questions! Joe Sensei!
