Learning Japanese from scratch

Hello, I visited Japan last year and it was such an amazing experience. It motivated me to want to learn the language so I am better prepared for my next trip. I would like to learn enough to be able to speak and read Japanese as well as understanding basic conversation. It would also be really great to make some Japanese friends.

As for this group, I would like to meet other people learning Japanese, make some good connections and help each other out in our Japanese learning journey.

I am a complete beginner. I just learned Hiragana and just started Katakana, I know some basic phrases as well.
