What you felt watching anime is real.
Not the fireballs β but the sense that the hand signs, the seals, the spirits come from somewhere. They do. Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen and many others draw on traditions still practised in Japan today.
The ninja magic behind the hand signs has a name: Kuji Kiri.
Underneath it lies a natural human ability. To sense subtle energy, to send it through your hands, and to come into living contact with the spiritual world. Not energy in general, but named presences, each with its own gift.
Some arrive here through anime. Others have practised for years and come for the source Mikao Usui drew from: esoteric Buddhism and the mountain ascetics of ShugendΕ.
