My adventure story entry...
(Reposting because I didn't read Arthur's post about the adventure story competition properly and commented instead of making a post - apologies if you have read before)
Once upon a time, in a surf camp far far away (Portugal to be exact), my girlfriend and I were staying in a lovely room. I had popped out for a reason I can't remember why, but my girlfriend had stayed in our room to relax.
Suddenly the heavens opened, and there was a huge downpour of rain. The windows in these rooms were complicated to open and close - they were windows built into a slanted roof and if you pushed them enough they turned into a mini balcony, but because of this they had many different locking mechanisms.
Of course, during this stormy deluge, all of our windows were open. My girlfriend - alas - could not shut them and the room was beginning to flood. In a panic that our bed was about to turn into a boat, she ran out of the room and asked for help.
The first person she ran into was a very kind and helpful gentleman who came in and was able to shut all the windows, saving our room from turning into an aquarium.
That very kind and helpful gentleman was Arthur.
And 4 months later, here we are in JAM 🍃🗺️
