Worries for Regular Decision
Hi everyone! I recently applied for REA to Yale and was flat-out rejected, not even deferred. Does this mean I don't have a competitive chance for the colleges I will apply to soon for RD, and should I worry? I don't intend on changing my Common App essay, but I'm unsure of how to reframe my story, narrative, or profile so it'll become more effective for RD. Rejection hurts :( and it's really disappointing that they did not choose me for a referral, but at the same time, I'm trying my best to be optimistic and move on! I'm going to use this opportunity as a springboard and signal to push myself even more next time.
