Hey, I'm Sean – founder of IT Co-op.
I started this group to help bridge the gap between tech and everyday users. Back in 1996, I joined my family’s IT business, and for 18 years I worked with small businesses and regular people who just wanted their tech to work without all the confusion. A lot of my customers were frustrated—they didn’t need all the computer jargon, they just needed someone to explain things in plain English. That is where I excelled. As the tech world shifted from desktop computers to smartphones, many local computer shops started to disappear. My family’s company eventually moved on to other ventures and transitioned away from residential and small business IT altogether. That’s when I branched out on my own and became an independent contractor. I've been doing that for the past eight years. After nearly 30 years in the industry, I’ve seen tech from a lot of different angles. My goal with IT Co-op is to share what I’ve learned, answer questions, and hopefully make computers (and all the tech that comes with them) a little less intimidating. Please share your questions! I also hope to build a community of other tech who share my vision and can help fill in the gaps in my knowledge and experience. Thanks for joining!
