But I almost talked myself out of it. Not the talk :) The belief that I had something worth saying. On June 3rd, I stood in front of a room at Ajax Public Library and delivered "Invisible Ceilings: Why Capable People Stay Stuck" live, in person, for the first time. 30 minutes of keynote. 30 minutes of Q&A. The Q&A was better. People weren't just asking questions. They were connecting the framework to their lives, their careers, their relationships, in real time. That it made them think differently about their own life. I had to take a breath after hearing that. 11 people showed up. 11 people left thinking differently about what's been holding them back. I'll take that. A few things to sharpen before the next one ; • My pacing on stage and getting my volume stronger. But honestly? The first one is always about proving to yourself that you can do it. Consider it proven. If you're sitting on a talk, a workshop, an idea you keep meaning to bring to a room ,this is your reminder. "If you cannot find a door of oppurtunity, built one by yourself."
