ORB Indicator
I've been wondering something for a while so I figured it's time I asked. In the original course material for the older indicators I noticed that it says the course material for the ORB indicator was coming. It does seem the group has taken a different path with the ALGO and Last Son strategies instead. We don't talk much about Superman and Jedi entries at all anymore and that's fine but I still am curious.
I do use the opening range breakout and have used the indicator for a few months now and it is pretty successful about 85-90% of the time. But I'm always wondering If I'm doing something wrong because it doesn't paint the opening range lines where I think they should go...at the top and bottom of the time range specified. In my case I use 15 minutes. I haven't said anything because I figure there is a method to the madness but as with everything I need to know why. Since I use TopStep I have to manually paint the lines on that chart but they never match yours.
I've included a picture of tonight's ORB from Asia session (7/1/26) for reference on a 5 min timeframe. The Top of ORB at 6pm-6:15pm is $30,109.25 - $30,050.75 on MNQ but the indicator paints it in a different place $30,111 - $30,60.50 In this case it's only a few dollars difference but there are days where it is off quite a bit. I'm just wondering why the lines don't paint at the top and bottom of the opening range. I haven't changed any settings other than the timeframe I'm using during each session.
I thought it was maybe just a secret setting in the code and I'm not supposed to know, but I went back and watched the video again and it does say that it paints the lines at the top and bottom of ORB so from one educator to another can you explain to me the why behind it?
