I want to share my success story with everyone and how it was not just a successful paper trade but also a successful shift in mindset. I think I'm more excited about the change in mindset!
For several weeks now, I've been practicing via replay mode and have struggled to find time in the morning before work to paper trade. Last night I thought to myself, why don't I wake up earlier and schedule in extra time for this? So that's what I did.
Here's how it went. Shortly after I sat down at the computer this morning around 5 am, a new supply zone formed on the 1 hr S&P chart . I wrote down the details of my trading plan. (It was all happening rather fast.) Since I've been practicing the steps, my Superman entry setup went smoothly. I adjusted the fill price up for a 2:1 ratio based on the 5:00 am fractal low. I also worked on the reframing exercise while waiting for the trade to complete.
At one point (close to 7:00), I was tempted to close out of the order because I thought I'd missed my chance or adjust everything down so I'd get filled because I didn't think price would return to my entry area. If I'd succumbed to my emotions, the result would have been either a missed opportunity or a potential loss. I had faith in the process and resisted. And it turned out to be a winning "paper" trade. I'll take it!
