Quick Guide: Switching Futures to the Next Contract in TradingView
It's that time again! Here’s a clean, step-by-step way to roll your TradingView charts from Dec 2025 → Mar 2026 for ES and NQ.
1) Know the correct March 2026 symbols
  • ES March 2026 = ESH2026
  • NQ March 2026 = NQH2026
(“H” = March, “M” = June, “U” = Sep, “Z” = Dec.)
2) Switch the contract on an existing chart (fastest method)
  1. Open your current chart (ex: ESZ2025 / NQZ2025).
  2. Click the ticker/symbol name at the top-left of the chart.
  3. In the search box, type:
  4. Click the result to load the new contract.
Tip: If you just type ESH2026 or NQH2026, it usually works too—adding CME_MINI: just removes ambiguity.
3) Add March 2026 to your watchlist (so you don’t keep re-searching)
  1. Open the Watchlist panel.
  2. Click + Add symbol.
  3. Add:
  4. (Optional) Right-click your old Dec 2025 contracts and Remove or Move down.
Quick sanity check
If you want to confirm you’re on the right contract inside TradingView:
  • Open the contract list for ES/NQ and verify Mar 2026 is selected/active.
