Order not closed at End of Day

Hi All, I had an issue with ninja trader at the end of the day where i lost connectivity to my account. I had an open order that I was unable to close before the end of the day as a result(it was far from both SL and TP). I know one of the rules is that you can't have open orders when the day ends so does anyone know if this means that I just lost my EA or does the trade automatically close? Still no access to NT so can't see what is happening (it has been escalated to tier 1 tech support at NinjaTrader). Thanks!
