Without further adieu...
Have you ever had a day where time seemed to fly by, while on another day, every second dragged on endlessly?
Or noticed how when you’re fully immersed in something creative, hours pass like minutes—but when you’re stuck in procrastination, the day disappears and you’ve barely done anything?
This isn’t just a trick of perception. Time is deeply connected to energy, focus, and intuition.
When you learn to shift how you engage with time, you can expand or contract it—moving through your days with more ease, flow, and intention.
⏳ The Illusion of Time & Your Intuition
We’ve been taught that time is a rigid, linear force—something outside of us that we must manage and race against. But in reality, time is fluid. It bends and shifts based on your internal state.
Your intuition doesn’t follow the clock. It operates outside of linear time (just like the universe), whispering insights that come before logic and guiding you toward decisions that don’t always make immediate sense.
But here’s the key:
When you ignore your intuition, time starts working against you. When you trust it, time starts working for you.
Think about a time when you:
🔮 Had a gut feeling to start something now, and things lined up effortlessly.
🔮 Kept postponing a task, only to realize later the delay was actually in your favor.
🔮 Felt rushed or forced into a decision, only to regret not trusting your instincts.
Your relationship with time is a mirror of your relationship with self-trust.
💫 Procrastination & Time Distortion: What It’s Really Telling You
Procrastination isn’t just laziness or avoidance. It’s often a sign of deeper misalignment. Your intuition might be trying to tell you something, but instead of listening, your logical mind tries to force action—or avoid it altogether.
Here’s what procrastination often signals:
🔮 Energetic Resistance – If an action feels off, your intuition might be sensing that the timing isn’t right, the method isn’t aligned, or there’s an emotional block you need to clear first.
🔮 Fear of Expansion – If you’re procrastinating on something that could move you forward (starting a creative project, launching an idea, or making a bold decision), ask yourself: “Am I afraid of what comes next?”
🔮 Overwhelm & Lack of Presence – If time keeps slipping away and you feel scattered, your energy might be fragmented. Instead of being fully present, part of you is stuck in worry, doubt, or perfectionism.
🔮 Need for Intuitive Rest – Sometimes, procrastination is your intuition’s way of saying: Pause. Recharge. Let the next step come naturally. But when we guilt ourselves instead of honoring the pause, we create more resistance.
🕰️ Mindfulness: The Key to Time Alchemy
If time bends according to our focus and energy, how do we shift it? By mastering our presence. Here’s how:
✨ Pause Before Action – Before forcing yourself to “just do it,” tune in: Is this truly the right time? What does my body and energy say?
✨ Breathwork to Expand Time – When you feel rushed, take slow, deep breaths. This signals to your nervous system that you have enough time—shifting your perception and expanding the moment.
✨ Creative Flow to Collapse Time – Creativity is a direct portal to non-linear time. When you allow yourself to create (without pressure), you tap into a timeless state where intuition flows freely.
✨ Follow Your Intuitive Nudges – If an idea, task, or action keeps calling to you, trust it. Acting from aligned impulse (rather than logic alone) allows you to move with time instead of against it.
✨ Micro-Mindfulness Shifts – Next time you catch yourself saying “I don’t have enough time,” pause. Notice what happens when you slow down, focus, and engage fully with the moment. Time often stretches when we are truly here.
💡 Your Invitation to Play with Time
Time isn’t your enemy—it’s a tool, a mirror, and a creative force that responds to your awareness. When you start experimenting with intuition-led time manipulation, you’ll notice:
⏳ You get more done without stress or forcing.
⏳ You intuitively know when to act—and when to wait.
⏳ You feel more spaciousness, even in a “busy” day.
One of the way's I manipulate time is by stretching it out. I know my energy is tied to how I feel and perceive time. So, I don't allow myself to rush. I do the things I need to at a pace that is sustainable and mindful of the process. If I feel overwhelmed, I GIVE myself more time by getting rid of the tasks that can be moved and focus on the non-negotiables or the ones with the biggest impact.
Novelty is also important to be mindful of. When we are playing as kids, the days always seemed so long and as we age, time seems to speed up. It's because as we get older we have less and less novel experiences.
When we fill our days with purpose, creativity, and play, we can get the most out of our day and even our time on Earth. Try new things, pursue your passion, create, and enter flow state.
These are all things that will slow down you days and give you the opportunity to always be in the present moment. When you do this, time ceases to exist.
Just some food for thought. I really enjoy this topic because time has always been an issue for me.
