Some recent notes:
IF YOU TALK THE TALK, WALK THE WALK
This should be obvious but it's rarely put in practice. SO MANY PEOPLE DO THIS - and it's got to be the most frustrating experience for anyone around you. Look, we all deal with procrastination. I understand that we aren't exactly AI so we humans will second-guess shit. But if you agree to do something or tell someone you'll do something for them - DON'T GHOST THEM EVEN IF YOU WON'T DO IT. Being up-front with your customers or community members just means being up-front with your fellow man. Hold this value with you. If you suddenly realize you can't or won't do something for someone else no matter the reason, just tell them so with as much advance notice as possible. Why? Because they will find out that you won't do what you said you would! This is how people lose their best customers in an instant and never get them back. This is also how you lose someone you actually care about in an instant. If you talk the talk but don't walk the walk, be ready to destroy your entire reputation in an instant.

Discovering the Perfect Venue: A Guide to Finding Spaces for Community Gatherings
Whether you're organizing a small meetup or a large-scale event, securing a suitable venue is crucial for the success of your gathering. In this article, we'll explore various options and provide practical tips to help you find the perfect space for your community to connect, grow, and thrive. Think creatively and you should be able to find the right space at little to no cost. 1. Define Your Requirements Before beginning your search, take a moment to reflect on your community's needs. Consider the following factors: - Capacity: How many people will be attending your gathering? - Location: Is there a specific area or neighborhood that's easily accessible for your community? - Ambiance: What kind of atmosphere do you want to create (e.g., formal, casual, creative)? - Amenities: Do you need specific facilities like parking, restrooms, kitchen, or audio-visual equipment? - Budget: What's your budget for venue rental or usage fees? 2. Explore Public Spaces Public spaces are often free or low-cost, making them an attractive option for community gatherings. Some popular options include: - Parks and Recreation Centers: Many cities offer park shelters, community centers, or recreation centers that can be reserved for events. - Libraries: Libraries often have meeting rooms or event spaces available for public use. - Museums: Some museums offer event spaces or meeting rooms that can be rented for community gatherings. - City or Town Halls: Many municipalities have public spaces or meeting rooms that can be used for community events. 3. Consider Private Venues Private venues can offer a more personalized experience for your community. Some options include: - Community Centers: Many community centers have event spaces or meeting rooms available for rent. - Churches or Places of Worship: Some churches or places of worship have event spaces or meeting rooms that can be rented for community gatherings. - Restaurants or Cafes: Some restaurants or cafes have private rooms or areas that can be reserved for events. - Event Spaces: Dedicated event spaces, like banquet halls or conference centers, can be rented for community gatherings.
