3 resources incoming 🎁
Hi all, I've just messaged each of you individually about the change from group webinars to 1:1 calls. I had a great call with @Boyana Koleva on Wednesday, and it really confirmed for me how much value there is in speaking to you one-on-one — understanding your specific challenges and how I can best support you. I'm here to cheer you on and make sure that now you've taken the first step, you follow through! On next steps, I'm putting together three resources to support you on your journey: 1) Portfolio guide — coming this weekend. It's a PDF guide on how to build your portfolio: what to look out for, the best structure, what to include, and more. It also comes with a ready-made portfolio template. I'll be announcing it on Instagram as a paid product (£67), but I'm uploading it free into the community, so please keep your eyes on the feed. 2) AI-workflow session. On the call with Boyana we talked through how I use Photoshop and Nano Banana Pro when creating concepts, but a recording of that call came out a little blurry (see attached below). I'll re-record it as a full process flow, from 3D model all the way to final tweaks - a beginner friendly session. 3) Sample catalogue - I'm scanning a catalogue from my studio so soon you'll be able to log in and pick your favourite tiles, floors and more. For transparency, this is something I'm building separately from the Skool community, but as soon as it launches (early August), I'll give each of you free 30-day access — so you can build your briefs with real products without leaving home or trawling the internet. Especially handy if you have a live project on. The catalogue took 10 years to build, so scanning it is a big job — bear with me! 😊 I've attached an 8-minute video from this week's call below, so you can start getting familiar with the two tools I mention in it: Photoshop and Nano Banana Pro (via https://imgeditor.co/generator). If it feels too quick or not quite clear, don't worry — I'll have a longer, more detailed AI process video for you early next week.

🏨 New challenge is live — Challenge 2: The Hotel Suite
Have you noticed that a new challenge appeared last night? This one's a little different - designing for a B2B client. Meet Jim, a hotel developer. He wants one high-end room that makes a guest immediately feel like home. Complete free rein — no mood board, no direction. And it's a paid pitch: nail this one room, and you win the whole building. It's the brief where you'll learn the three things I learned the hard way: - 💷 design to a budget they'll never give you - ✋ why you shouldn't pitch for free - 💡 lighting a small space so it lives instead of dies Everything you need is in the resources. Take your time — most people spend 2–3 weeks on it, so no rush. 📺 And… Studio Hours webinar is TODAY, 6pm London time. Bring the new brief, your half-finished ideas, whatever you're stuck on — we'll think it through out loud together and get to know each other. See you there! PS. Help me calibrate these briefs - is it too much info... or not enough, is it too advanced... or too basic. I'd love to hear your comments! 👇

Add on to Brief 01
Hi all, thanks for joining this community as early adopters. I’ve been working on the second brief this weekend and also on an add-on to the Skool that will accelerate your design journey - I’ll announce it here tomorrow or Monday 🤫 In the meantime time, I’m sharing a reel I just posted that reinforces one of the tips from Brief 01. Here’s a fun job for you: as you move through this weekend, notice how elements such as ceilings or windows change the look of the space. This will be particularly fun to observe in hospitality interiors or high-end spaces like hotels. Let me know what you observed, or even better, paste images of interesting examples under this chat for everyone else to learn and to reinforce this learning. Happy observing!
