Find the Good
It is so easy to start a day wanting everything to be perfect, only to find yourself viewing the world through a hazy lens. I’ve been in a bit of a slump lately, where things feel a little darker and more negative than I’d like. When you’re in that headspace, it’s hard not to focus on the faults and the things that annoy you, but I’ve realized I don’t want to be the person who only looks for the bad. I recently came across a phrase that really hit home: **"And they found that which was good among them"**. It made me stop and think about the kind of person I want to be—someone who actively looks for the light in others and the beauty in my surroundings. I want to move away from judgment and toward a place of love, giving people the benefit of the doubt instead of looking for their flaws. I’m starting to see how this works in the smallest moments, like when a child spills a glass of milk. Instead of getting upset at the mess, I can choose to see their independence and the fact that they took the initiative to do it all on their own. It’s about seeing the growth and the effort behind the mistake, then simply teaching them how to clean it up so they’re ready for next time. At the end of the day, we never truly know what someone else is going through until we’ve walked in their shoes. I want to be the one who finds people’s strengths rather than their weaknesses. My goal is to be a person who lifts others up and finds the good, even when the world feels a little heavy. Sarah
In the Month of April... these 3 things... (on being present)
One of the greatest things this last month has been my shift from "fight or flight" to "being present." Here's the TLDR version. - I'm a father of 7 "wow" children. (22 yrs old to 10 yrs old, 5 boys, 2 girls). - Husband to a tremendous wife, not needy, just human, and who wants my attention and deserves the very best husbandly love. - Run my own business (small to medium sized business problem solving through tech and artificial intelligence systems) - And genuinly want to be the best for others. - ...and to learn and do God's will. So, as you can imagine, life gets demanding. These three things I learned in the last 30 days and have practices: 1. Most of the time, nothing, and I mean, nothing is on fire enough to worry about, truly. I know, I know... bills might be late, you didn't get done what you said you would, or maybe, you're not living the life you want to live right now. Well, usually, nothing is on fire, which means, it's all in our mind (which is reflected in our bodies) and can be quieted, thus, we are at peace with the current moment reality. 2. We are here to learn and grow. That's it. To find joy. To serve God. To create pathways for success for our children. And, to prepare for the next life. Yes, it would be nice if our businesses and side hustles were thriving. Yes, it would be nice if we could achieve our dreams (which I believe we really can.) But, the baseline, the least we are to worry about is, just continuing to move forward each day and do our very best. Just try again better tomorrow. 3. "It will come." I've learned to be patient too, in this short 30 day window. As, I've prayed and gotten answers, truly, but later than wanted. So, the lesson here is, to keep praying and doing, and pushing through the trail of faith because, you better believe it, seeds will sprout and bear fruit, prayers will be answered, and our efforts will drive results... but the timing just isn't up to us. —Josh

Are you Ready For Next Week?
A reminder to set your intentions for next week. - Simplify: cut out what's not essential. Cut out what's not part of your goal achievement plans. - Write Down: pick a place and write things down, what you want to do. - Have Faith: hope and faith and belief, that's what makes our lives alive, be concrete about your intentions then move with faith in yourself and in the Universe (God, Angels). They are there and they are helping. What's on your agenda next week?! Make plans and share! —Josh
