“Turn On Your Love Lights”
““You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” ~ Matthew 5:14-16 NIV
Many quotes have been written about Love and Light, these quotes often emphasize sharing positivity, overcoming darkness, and letting your inner radiance guide you and others, with examples like: "Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that" (Martin Luther King Jr.), and "As we work to create light for others, we naturally light our own way" (Mary Anne Radmacher). These messages are to encourage by embracing love as a powerful force for healing and guidance, finding beauty in both light and shadow, and shining brightly to help other human beings to find their way.
Ask yourself these questions: When it comes to my faith, what kind of light am I? ls your light a flicker others can see only if they're really looking for it? Or is it the kind that brightens everything up when you walk into a room? Take time throughout today and meditate on Matthew 5:16. As believers, we are all special-God's "workmanship" is the term used in Ephesians 2:10. We're members of His family, indwelt by the Holy Spirit; His light is the radiance within us. So our life has potential beyond imagination. We have no idea what amazing things our Heavenly Father can do through our willingness simply to shine the light of His powerful love.
"Small lights have a way of being seen in a dark world"
~ Neal A. Maxwell
“Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.” ~John 3:20-21 NIV
Amen…
