Ancestor / Egungun Worship Day
Our ancestors are await our call. They are not memories, but they are living energies in the alternate realm where they continue their sacred journey. When we pour libations for them or speak their names we don't merely remember them. We activate their spiritual presence in our life. The ancestors who walk beside you hold keys to doors you cannot see. Thy are forces existing between worlds awaiting your acknowledgment to invitee them into your life. Take a moment today. Light a candle. Speak their names. Share their stories. Feel the ancient contract between worlds renewing itself through your simple acts of reverence. What you give to the ancestors returns tenfold. Obatala Worship Day Greetings
Obatala We come to pay homage to you today. This song talks about Obatala wearing white, riding a white horse. And he speaks to his greatness. It speaks to the purity that he walks with every day. Not just his clothes are white, even his horse’s white. Saying that everything around him reflects the spirit that’s within him. May we walk with a pure mind today, a pure spirit, and may the purity that’s within us reflect with all of the things that are around us. May Obatala bring us the blessings of purity today.
