Before the world had a chance to assign us labels—based on our jobs, our mistakes, or our bank accounts—we already had a primary identity. We are intentionally brought into God's family. We aren't just tolerated; we are deliberately chosen and brought in as heirs. When we grasp the reality of this spiritual adoption, the world's heavy labels lose their sticky power.
