Okay so this one I hear all the time and it actually drives me crazy a little bit.

Not really. Hereâs the thing â
You can get bigger doing low volume. You can get stronger doing high reps. Itâs not about the numbers on your program. Itâs about how hard you push when youâre actually in the set.
A heavy set of 5 taken to failure will build muscle. 4 sets of 12 where you stop because the timer went off and not because you had to? Thatâs not doing much.
The weight doesnât matter as much as what you do with it. Are you stopping because the set is done or because you literally could not do one more rep?
Thatâs it. Thatâs the whole thing.
Stop obsessing over volume vs intensity. Start obsessing over effort. Every. Single. Set.
