- Be Curious -- get involved with a desire to learn -- rather than, to win. Why do others hold their beliefs?
- Be Charitable -- benefit from doubt -- i.e. -- questioning your own stance. Can you state the opposing viewpoint fairly?
- Listen -- to what others say before you write a response. Do you hear what is being said? Can you understand that perspective?
- Be Constructive -- find a middle ground. Mutual understanding, rather than winning a point.
