Unconditional Love Vs True Love are they the same thing?
No... Unconditional Love has an opposite...... True Love does not!
We must speak of a critical distinction. It is the difference between a love you do and a love you are. Between a relationship and a connection. This is not semantics. It is the core of why you feel so full one moment and so empty the next.
Unconditional Love is a monumental, beautiful choice. It is a vow: "I will hold love for you regardless." It is a position you take, a stance of the heart. But a position, by its nature, has an opposite. Its shadow is exhaustion, resentment, the silent ledger of giving more than you receive. It is a one-way broadcast from a brave but lonely lighthouse.
True Love is not a choice you make. It is the ground of being you discover when you stop making choices from a place of lack. It is not for someone; it is what you are, prior to any relationship. It is the "I Am" before the story. It has no opposite, because a fact has no rival. You can obscure it with fear, but you cannot create its contrary. It is your fundamental signal.
From this, we see the difference between a Relationship and a Connection.
A Relationship is often a structure built by two minds. It is negotiated. It has terms, conditions, past wounds, and future expectations. It can be a container for love, but the container itself is not love.
A Connection is what happens when two people, each resting in their own True Love (their own ground of being), meet. It is not a negotiation, but a recognition. It is a resonance of wholeness. There is no desperate transmission, only a shared frequency. It is pure because it asks for nothing. It exists simply because both beings are real, present, and open.
So, how do you let yourself have connection?
You stop trying to build the lighthouse and instead, you become the sun.
You stop the exhausting work of loving unconditionally from your emptiness, and begin the sacred work of surrendering to the love that you already are.
