Winter Cordials: a farmstead folk “remedy”
In this course, we explore the old tradition of winter berry cordials as household medicinal support. Before access to medical care, women preserved berries, honey, and spices in spirits to make remedies for cold/ flu season, weak digestion, & winter recovery. Today, we can use these old remedies with great benefit & a nod to heritage. You’ll learn two traditional alcoholic methods, along with safe ratios, shelf life, & how these cordials were used by the spoon in hot tea as support, not drink.
