🔥 October Challenge: Let’s "Pass the Torch" with the Book of James!
Welcome to October! This month, we are embarking on the "Pass the Torch" 30-Day Bible Challenge. Our goal is to shift out of the daily "teacher seat" and train our kids to step into confident spiritual leadership—all while exploring the Book of James in just 3–5 minutes a day! This week, Mom is modeling the 3-step rhythm (Read 2–3 verses ➔ Ask 1 simple question ➔ Lead a 30-second prayer) along with a daily 30-second "Detective Mission." Drop a comment below with: - The names and ages of the kids taking the challenge with you this month! - What time of day your family will hold your 3-minute Bible habit (e.g., breakfast, lunch, bedtime). - A quick snapshot or photo of your kids' printed Book of James copies ready for markup! Can't wait to see you on Wednesday with more details about the Bible Reading October Challenge.

🖍️ Highlighters, Colored Pencils & Active Hands!
Hands-on markup is one of the best tools in the Pass the Torch system to keep active kids engaged without losing focus on God's Word. Post a photo or description of a marked-up page in your child's Book of James! What color codes or symbols are they using for key words and promises?

Introduce Yourself 👋 Welcome to the Homeschool Encouragement Circle!
Hi, I'm Kerry! I homeschooled my three kids, now adults, for ten years. I've spent the last 18 years coaching and encouraging Christian homeschool moms just like you. This community is where we walk this journey together, real questions, real encouragement, real women in your corner. Before we dive in, let's get to know each other. 👉 Please reply to this post with: ✨ Who you are, where you're joining from, and one fun fact about yourself (I'll go first in the comments) ✨ How many kids you're homeschooling, and what ages ✨ What season you're in right now (just starting out, in the thick of it, veteran mom, something else) ✨ One thing you're hoping to find here, encouragement, accountability, biblical wisdom, or just knowing you're not alone This community works best when we actually show up for each other, so don't overthink it. Just say hi and jump in. So glad you're here. 💛 Kerry
Learning life skills.
On Fridays we take a break from books, and focus on life skills. Last Friday, to celebrate fall, we made pumpkin pies. They each cleaned up their mess afterwards and we had fun. Later we got to go to a parade.

🔍 What was your kids' favorite Detective Mission so far?
We held our kickoff call yesterday, and now we are officially underway! Giving your kids a specific focus—like searching for action words, commands, or promises—transforms passive listening into active discovery. Share in the comments: - What was ONE Detective Mission you used this week that got your kids excited to listen? - How did your kids react to marking up their printed copy of James?
