Ancients used food, smells, herbs, and emotions to resent the expansion and contraction.
Some foods when we cook them they expand. Beans, lentils, legumes, etc
Some when we cook they contract – garlic, onions, zucchini, etc
When we eat certain foods they can help us to feel expansion or contraction.
Eat the petals of a flower and see how they make you feel.
When cooking vegetables, do not pre-soak. It is good to use the water that you cook veg in. When cook the veggies use as little water as possible and aim for tender food. Use the colour test, the more colour the more power. If in doubt experiment.
