I found this tutorial online and it explains hemming a skirt hem with a slit. (Creator- Sewing_tutorial_and_tools)

Watch video
Try and Practice for 10 minutes using scrap fabric
Bring questions to class / post them here
After you watch: comment “HEM” and tell me what fabric you’re working with (cotton, satin, knit, etc.) and I’ll tell you the best needle/thread settings.
