Question about Past lives awareness...

I have a question ... How can I explain to a person who has come from a space of religious programming... Who believed in the bible.. but there mind is beginning to open up.. who said to me... I dont know if I resonate with the past lives theory.. but seem open to understand.. They may be beginning to Awaken..

I myself am 8 months into my awakening.. and I was just intuitively guided to Dolores Cannon which helped open my mind and dont know how I believe it or why and cant explain to them.. it just resonated as truth to me..

Does some one have any spiritual insight or can someone explain the metaphysical theory behind this or any resources I can use to help guide them? I did suggest listening to Doloras also. But I guess I am realizing I probably need to understand the basis for the belief also, so I can answer this question properly to people who the Universe sends my way.
