How to make an antqiue into an heirloom.
Do you know how to make an antique into an Heirloom? If you use them with the people you may want to pass them on to them, they are much more likely to be revered. When I clear estates, the family never wants the fine china in the cabinet that they were never told to touch as children, but everyone wants the cookie jar. We all have stories and emotional ties to these things.

How to make an antqiue into an heirloom.
Is anyone doing Brimfield?
I used to live about 15 miles from the famous antique town and have lots of insights and stories. Are you going and if so, what are you selling, and where are you setting up, or shopping.
Can skool be what I hoped Facebook would be?
When I first joined FB, I thought, this is going to be a great way to keep in touch with friends and family, and pretty much be a place where I can network, learn, and grow online. Well, I still do keep in touch with friends and family on FB and I do use it to promote my business. But I hate the many way's it's become a backbiting, click-bait funnel. I've much higher expectations for Skool. What do You hope to get out of being here?

Welcome to The Hidden Value Society
If you’ve ever thought, “We should really have a union for this crazy business,” you’re in the right place. Antique dealers, vintage resellers, used‑goods sellers, and thrifters are some of the most fiercely independent people on the planet. We work alone, make our own calls, and mostly learn by trial, error, and the occasional miracle score. The downside? As a “profession,” we’re scattered, unorganized, and constantly reinventing the wheel! The Hidden Value Society exists to change that. It’s been my long‑time wish to pull together a cohesive group of brilliant, curious people who love this game as much as I do—and who are interested in both learning and teaching best‑practice methods for succeeding in the wild world of reselling - anything. This founding group is where we start: - Collectors, dealers, and deal‑hunters comparing notes on what everyone else overlooks - Honest breakdowns and case studies of real buys—good, bad, and ugly - Valuation frameworks and repeatable processes instead of random luck - Building streamlined workflows that give you more time & money - A place where you can ask “dumb” questions, share hard‑won insights, and help shape how this community works from day one. If you’re reading this, you’re early—and your fingerprints will be on whatever this becomes. Drop a quick intro below: who you are, what you hunt for, and one “hidden value” win (or lesson) you’ve had recently. Then poke around, comment freely, and don’t be shy about starting threads. This only works if the independents decide, for once, to build something together.success. Because the hidden value I'm most interested in, is the brain work and collaborative value that the HVS can produce!
