Growth is Uncomfortable (Well...Sometimes)
Development doesn’t move in a straight line. It undulates. In training, we expect this. Stress followed by recovery creates adaptation. The down phase isn’t failure. It’s part of the process. Life mirrors physiology. There are periods that feel lighter and periods that feel heavy. Both matter. Both shape us. Right now, my growth is being challenged by severe weather. Instead of forcing what isn’t possible, I’m adapting. I’m finding roads that are cleared from snow and designing creative workouts within those limits. It’s not ideal, but it’s productive. Discomfort doesn’t mean something is wrong. Often, it means something is forming. QUESTION for you: What is one thing in your cycling that feels uncomfortable right now, and what is one way you’re coping or adapting to it?
